To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place to Work analyzed the survey responses of over 640,000 women who work for Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies that employ at least fifty women. To qualify, companies must have at least twenty percent of non-executive managers who are women and at least one female executive.

The Fortune Best Workplaces for Women is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly women reveal they are treated in the workplace. Great Place to Work measures the differences in women’s survey responses with those of their peers and evaluates the impact of demographics and roles on the quality and consistency of women’s experiences.

Methodology
The rankings for this award are derived from sixty employee experience questions within the Great Place to Work Trust Index™ survey. Great Place to Work determines its lists using its proprietary For All™ methodology to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, based on over 1.1 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than seven million employees
To qualify for the list, companies must be a Great Place Work-Certified™ organization. Companies with ten to 999 people are considered for the small and medium category while companies with 1,000 employees or more are considered for the large category.

The Great Place to Work survey results demonstrate a highly positive work environment for women. In that survey, 97% of CIENCE employees said the company is a great place to work, exceeding the 57% average of other companies in the U.S.
