The Comparably Awards recognize organizations that are taking active steps to create a workplace environment where everyone can thrive. Rankings are derived from employees who anonymously rated their employers on Comparably.com from Nov. 27, 2021, to Nov. 29, 2022. The best workplace categories in this series include:

- Best Companies for Diversity 2022
To qualify, large companies with more than 500 employees needed a minimum of seventy-five employee participants and small/mid-size companies (500 or fewer employees) needed a minimum of twenty-five employee participants. The final rankings were based on workplace culture metrics that include:
- Compensation (salary, bonus, raises)
- Career growth (opportunities, mentorship, goals)
- Leadership (CEO, executives, direct managers)
- Work environment (work-life balance, perks, and benefits, coworkers)
Additional weight was given to companies with higher participation from their employee base relative to their company size.

Best Company for Diversity - #43
The Best Companies for Diversity award represents the top-ranked 100 companies of 2022 according to employees of color. These ratings were based solely on anonymous ratings provided by BIPOC employees over the past year.
